The most unique kalimba made for playing duo
The Twin Kalimba is 30cm long and fitted with two identically-tuned sets of tines so one or two people can play the instrument.
*The kalimba factory tuning is A-minor, but the tuning can be changed if desired.
Tuning: 2x A minor ( A - C - C - A - A - F - E - E - B )

Playing duo
What inspired Hokema to develop the Twin Kalimba was to have an instrument that allowed people to REALLY play together. It's an unparalleled experience to interact through music and rhythm with another human being.
With this twin kalimba design, you don't need to be a professional musician to enjoy that experience! No musical background is needed! The identical tuning of the two sets of tines can guarantee harmonious tone sequences and sounds.
Just play with the feeling and let the vibration of the sound pass through the soundboard. So the partner holding the other end can physically 'feel' the sound and respond with more enchanting melodies. Perfect for therapist/patient, couples, family members, friends etc.
Playing solo
This twin kalimba can also play solo by holding the Kalimba in both hands so that each thumb can reach one of the 9 key kalimbas.
By plucking alternately with both thumbs, more fascinating sequences can be produced than on a single kalimba with the same tuning. In addition, with 18 tines, the advanced kalimba player can play a wide range of styles by retuning kalimba to any scale desired.
