It Won't Take Much For This Lovely Instrument To Get Your Groove On!
The Asalato, also known as the Aslatua or Kashaka, is a traditional West African percussive instrument.
Traditionally, an Asalato is made of a hollow gourd from the Oncoba Spinosa tree. When the gourds dry and fall from the trees, children collect them and fill them with orange pebbles, then connect 2 gourds with a string.
*Each order comes with 2 sets of asalato (4 balls). Size: 50mm
As asalato has grown very popular in Japan and Europe in recent years, a more modern styled Asalato has appeared.
The high-quality ABS material replaces the grouds of different sizes, making the sound of the asalato clearer and the weight more balanced. Ordinary thin ropes have also been replaced by professional climbing ropes, which further improve the durability of this instrument and make it easier to play.
